HSL Technologies, founded in 2015 by Pierre-Emmanuel Casanova and Vincent Lôme, was born out of a groundbreaking discovery at Aix-Marseille University: a molecule capable of spontaneously releasing hydrogen. This breakthrough led to the development of a revolutionary liquid hydrogen carrier, set to transform the hydrogen industry and accelerate global decarbonization.
In 2022, HSL Technologies marked a pivotal moment in its journey with the appointment of Corine Dubruel as Executive President, ushering in a new era of governance. This milestone coincided with the successful validation of our Series A fundraising, securing €15 million to fuel our growth, and the deployment of our innovations.
Our mission is to revolutionize hydrogen transport and storage through HydroSil, a breakthrough liquid hydrogen carrier that is safe, stable, and recyclable. By eliminating the need for high-pressure or cryogenic systems, we enable cost-effective hydrogen distribution using existing infrastructure.
At the same time, we unlock the full potential of silica valorization, transforming a by-product of our process into a valuable, low-carbon material for industrial applications. This dual innovation positions HSL Technologies at the intersection of clean energy and sustainable materials.
We envision a future where hydrogen is a cornerstone of the global energy system. By 2030, HydroSil will power large-scale hydrogen storage and international transport, while our silica solutions contribute to decarbonizing key industries. Through innovation, sustainability, and strategic partnerships, we are driving the transition to a cleaner, more resilient world.
At HSL Technologies, we are committed to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), reflecting our dedication to creating a positive societal impact while fostering sustainable business growth. We believe a successful company not only excels in its industry but also contributes meaningfully to the well-being of communities and the environment.
Guided by the conviction that businesses play a critical role in addressing global challenges such as climate change and social inequality, we integrate sustainable practices into every aspect of our operations. To bring this vision to life, we have developed a comprehensive three-year CSR action plan built on three core objectives, aligning our initiatives with community needs, stakeholder expectations, and the global call for responsible corporate behavior.
